NotConf

NotConf was a meltmedia planned, JSConf pre-conference in Phoenix. JavaScript developers came from all over the world to our great city and we wanted to show them what we're all about.

Simple, with a hint of AZ

For the NotConf pre-conference and its accompanying site, we wanted to practice what we preach. We always want these events to be simple, informative, and most of all, fun.

Bringing in parts of the local Phoenix culture was important to us too. The site features an homage to Camelback Mountain and the AZ state flag and the event was held at the Arizona Historical Society.

Responsive for mobile

Portability is important, especially at an all-day event. The NotConf site uses a combination of fluid layout and media queries to optimize the user's experience on any device.

It was important for the site to be useful on a broad range of devices, from notebook computers to iPhones and Windows phones alike.

NotConf

A day-of event guide

When running around an all-day conference, it's helpful to have directions, schedules, and FAQ's easily accessible on your phone. We created a special one-page guide for attendees to reference. This freed up a lot of our volunteers to have as much fun as possible.

A logo to build off

We started with a name and then needed a logo. Our designers came up with the perfect solution. It was simple, recognizable, and could be incorporated into plenty of fun designs. It's the perfect starting point for potential NotConfs in the future.
