Dave was born in Phoenix, only a mile away and a few years before meltmedia. He was precocious and mischievous, elected to serve as the President of the United States at age 12. He declined the honor as he was too young and grounded for starting a pyramid scheme with his sister's Girl Scout Cookies.

For his penance, Dave was forced to write an apology letter to the US Government and the entire country. During this exercise in humility, he learned the power of the written word. He would become adept at writing letters -- letters to excuse him from school, homework assignments, work details, etc. About the same time Dave discovered that girls were cute. He also discovered art, possibly a coincidence, possibly synchronicity.

In 2000 Dave, Ron Barry, and Brandon Bryant started meltmedia after being evicted from their former spaces, and the rest, as they say, is history. He now lives in Phoenix with his mistress oVo.
